TONINAS

This excursion takes place in the port of Rawson (capital city to Chubut province) called Playa Union, where the Chubut river flows into the ocean. In this place, the river provides its waters and nutrients to the sea, giving it a particular colour and allowing many species to exist.
Among those we find the Tonina Overa – Patagonian dolphin-; a marine mammal of only a metre and a half long y no more than 30 or 40 kg of weight. We can usually observe them riding the waves rather close, giving amateur and professional photographers a chance to get some neat pictures or videos.
Our vessel is a very large zodiac boat, specially prepared for this type of conditions. It has 3 HONDA 225 hp four stroke engines.
 Our passengers will board already geared up by our staff with their rain coats (if needed) and lifejackets. The ride has a duration of one hour and a half, approximately, depending on how far the animals are on that day.
 Once we finish the excursion, it is recommended to make good use of the occasion and go sample the typical seafood from Patagonia in a classic port canteen that offers us all the recently fished products from the sea.
