SUNSET
Nature has no timetables, but opportunities. An encounter with the whales in their natural habitat also fits into this principle.
To observe a Patagonian sunset, with its most varied colours painting the sky, is a sight to enjoy. Especially if you do this from Puerto Piramides, which because of its geographic orientation, is the only spot on the Atlantic coast from were you can observe the sun setting over the sea.
The sunset excursion for whale watching puts together two natural spectacles, on their own breath taking, and combined, the result is simply a unique experience. We also offer with it a longer ride than usual (at least two hours), navigating among free whales, interacting and admiring them while the sun sets on the horizon of the Golfo Nuevo.
This trip is done on board of a small vessel, so the group remains rather small, with the purpose in hand to create a more private mood to relax and be able to interact with the captain, who is also the whale guide.
Sunsets in Patagonia are known as “The magical hour”. Its brightness is known to be one of the best for snap shots.
We return to land with the last beam of sunlight, where a table filled with hot drinks and cakes await us for a closing toast to what is definitely, a day to remember.
We suggest taking warm clothes and enough batteries for the camera.
