PUNTA NINFAS

The visit to this Amazing place is filled with history and sights. It owes its name to the fantasy of old sailors, that when looking from a long distance at the male elephant seals on shore (gorgeous gray seals with black eyes and mermaid tails) imagined beautiful sirens welcoming them to these parts of the world.
 It is the main Entrance to the Golfo Nuevo and it is characterized for its cliffs, extensive deserted beaches and elephant seal settlements.
 Located at 100 km away from Puerto Madryn city, it is practically a desolated spot, far from routinary visits.
On the way it is possible to sight Guanacos, Rheas, Maras and Hares. Once we reach destination, we will descend to the beach and make an interpretative walk along the seaside. It is the ideal place to kick back and let yourself get carried away by the sounds of nature, and imagine those first white humans (Magallanes) arriving to these lands back in the year 1526, naming this gulf Bahia Nueva (New bay) or Bahia sin Fondo (Bottomless bay).
 The great amounts of fossils on the ground take us back to other ages, when the Andes Mountains did not exist and the oceans were warm.
 Punta Ninfas will most certainly be the distinctive picture of the trip, which we shall carry in our memories for many years.
The departure and return times in this program will be sorted previously, according to the weather conditions of each day.
