PUNTA LOMA

This is a place with an easy access, located just a few km outside Puerto Madryn. Here, we will enjoy a year round sea lion settlement and a Cormorant nesting area.
It is a special place to observe the differences between seals and sea lions, commonly mistaken one with the other. Here we will learn what to look at to tell them apart.
On the other hand, cormorants will let us contemplate their very special diving techniques, and above all, their most typical characteristic: nesting in almost impossible spots for any land predator to reach. Here we will understand why eggs have that oval shape, allowing them to remain on the nest (if they were rounded, they would roll of it and we would barely have any birds).
Native plants and sedimentary rocks create the classic scenario of Patagonia carved ages ago.
